Cross Roast Series — Siolim × One Half

The Cross Roast Series is a collaborative roasting project between Siolim Specialty Coffee Roasters (India) and One Half Roastery (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia).

For this release, each roastery roasted a coffee sourced by the other, exchanging not just green coffee, but also roasting philosophies.

Siolim selected one of its coffees from the Inner Pearl Series, which was roasted by Keith Koay, four-time Malaysian Barista Champion and founder of One Half Roastery, an award-winning roastery based in Kuala Lumpur.

In return, Siolim roasted one of One Half’s sourced coffees, a Panama Geisha from the Cordillera region, processed as washed, a competition-level lot known for its elegance and complexity.

Both coffees are competition lots, showcasing how different roasting perspectives can interpret exceptional coffees.

The set includes two 100g coffees, presented together to allow brewers to experience this cross-roasting experiment side by side.

To preserve peak flavour, the coffee roasted by Keith at One Half was frozen just before its optimal resting window, ensuring the cup profile remains as expressive as intended when brewed.

The Cross Roast Series celebrates collaboration, craft, and the idea that roasting is interpretation even when the coffees themselves are extraordinary.
